The lame trend continues

 

Painting it black has reached the pinnacle of fashion this season. Its dark wings have flew through just about everybody’s wardrobe.

It’s an easy way to channel two styles in one look. The shiny fabric gives a Blondie-esque element of grunge to an otherwise elegant suit. Charlize Theron uses a metallic blazer to offset her bold skin-tight trousers and sooty eye make-up. Daisy Lowe use this concept with her delicate frills and fierce folds of lame in her high-waisted look.  And Mischa Barton’s lame gives her simple suit an 80s twist

MSFW 2008: Modern Odyssey

Melbourne’s so called ‘incandescent’ labels combined with a dramatical runway show as the end of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week’s official parades.  For the most part these expectations which is for the featuring labels were met, but also so were the anticipated duds.The show seemed to bring the cream of the crop of Melbourne’s fashion community who created a tense atmosphere.

Calvin Klein: Air Costa

Charming, ambitious Calvin Klein show on September 11 from Francisco Costa. It was based on a cube and prism shapes and predominated in shades of white with silver and crystal accents. Fabrics looked technical. Maybe the collection was clearest and best in the finale dresses – strapless works of geometry in deep blue silk and luscious shades of lavender.
