Calvin Klein: Air Costa

Charming, ambitious Calvin Klein show on September 11 from Francisco Costa. It was based on a cube and prism shapes and predominated in shades of white with silver and crystal accents. Fabrics looked technical. Maybe the collection was clearest and best in the finale dresses – strapless works of geometry in deep blue silk and luscious shades of lavender.

Bankable Glamour From Kors

Michael Kors sending out a smart spring collection that probably saved a few retail chiefs from watching their profits further erode. And Narciso Rodriguez, lightened up his minimalist line with stripes and offbeat prints.
And everybody knows the results-inevitably and hopelessly glamorous!

There was a style at Kors with a spilling top in white silk.  And a number of designers have shown variations on the hiked skirt, including Marc Jacobs and Mr. Rodriguez.

The collection was as fresh-looking as it was varied. The newness was really in the dresses, in the waves of stripes over a silk dress with black chiffon shoulders and a floaty, sheer back.

2009 Fashion Trends: Marc by Marc Jacobs from New York S/S09

Just like it was a few collections back-the Marc by Marc Jacobs S/S09 collection is bright in a tasteful and fun way. After a few seasons of dark and murky colours, it’s good to see lighter colours. So I think it’s much easier to buy the light-coloured pieces when they come into stores.

2009 Fashion Trends: Jill Stuart

The Jill Stuart collection is not exactly the most original or fashion forward show on the runway this season. Certain looks reminds one of the Marc by Marc Jacobs runway a few years back. But this collection is charming.
The simple white dress is gorgeous. Look at those genie pants. They are like the pant version of a pretty flowy skirt.

2009 Fashion Trends: Proenza Schouler From NY Week SS09

The designers of all those cute dresses last season did a 180 this season, and maybe a little bit punk.Silhouette which is definitely unique and edgy was the one thing that stood out from this collection.  It is not an immediately ew. But it looks like the models are pinned onto a wall with by their sleeves. I highdoubt this unique silhouette will be as well received as the pretty dresses last season .
